国际马铃薯中心总干事西蒙·埃克博士与中国农业农村部副部长马有祥会见
2023年10月24日，国际马铃薯中心（CIP）主任西蒙·埃克博士在山东省滕州市与中国农业农村部副部长马有祥进行了会见会谈，就深化双方合作达成广泛共识。
埃克博士诚挚感谢中方多年来对CIP的大力支持，高度赞赏双方合作所取得的巨大成就，希望未来进一步加强合作，巩固双方合作对促进中国薯类产业发展所取得的成果，充分发挥国际马铃薯中心亚太中心（CCCAP）的平台和枢纽作用，大力拓展与中国、亚非拉发展中国家的三方合作，为推动实现联合国2030年可持续发展议程目标做出更大贡献。未来，CIP承诺将继续把中国作为全球合作的重点国家之一，拓展CCCAP在亚洲和太平洋地区国家的合作领域和范围，将CIP2030发展战略的四大支柱，即农业生物多样性、改善作物、适应气变和城市食物体系转型，区域化。
马有祥副部长对双方过去四十年的合作给予了高度肯定，感谢CIP多年来向中国提供薯类种质资源、转移育种等生产技术、培养专业人才。中国政府历来高度重视与CIP的合作，今后将继续对CIP的大力支持，也希望CIP加大对CCCAP的投入，充分发挥和利用好起作用。
On 24th October, Dr. Simon Heck, Director General of the International Potato Center (CIP) met with the Vice Minister Ma Youxiang of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) of the People’s Republic of China in Tengzhou, Shandong and reached a broad consensus on strengthening bilateral cooperation.During the meeting with the Vice Minister, Dr. Simon Heck expressed his sincere gratitude for China’s strong support over the years and highly praised the great achievements made through mutual cooperation. He also expressed hope for further cooperation and consolidation of the achievements made in promoting the potato industry through bilateral cooperation, so as to fully play the platform and pivotal role of CIP and CCCAP, vigorously expand cooperation among developing countries in China, Asia, Africa and Latin America, and make greater contributions to facilitating the realization of the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. Vice Minister Ma Youxiang gave strong recognition of the bilateral cooperation over the past four decades, and expressed thanks to CIP for providing potato germplasm, production technology and cultivating talents, the Chinese government had always attached great importance to the cooperation with CIP and will continue to give strong support to CIP and hoped that CIP would increase its investment in CCCAP so as to fully play its role.
